Your partner in health and healing
Dr. Lisa A. Kellogg is a licensed physical therapist of 20 years offering client-centered care to the Roaring Fork community since 2002. Her compassionate approach, high standards of care and diverse experience in patient care, clinical education, and professional leadership have earned a trusted reputation for providing exceptional care among local and regional physicians, specialists, colleagues and clients.
APPROACH
Dr. Kellogg draws from diverse approaches in physical therapy to offer a comprehensive understanding of impairments impacting movement health. She views the Movement System as a distinct body system, arising from interaction of the muscular, skeletal, nervous (central and peripheral), integumentary (skin), cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrine/metabolic systems, and shaped by bio-psycho-social influences and habits. Dr. Kellogg applies this framework to her highly specialized assessment of human movement, its normal variations versus abnormal pathologies, and the active pathway to restore each individual's optimal movement. She brings to the table extensive training in pain science and the important differences in addressing acute (recent onset) pain from the neurologic adaptations that occur in response to chronic pain. Her skilled manual care is integrated with an intuitive touch and thoughtful underpinnings in kinesiology to help promote healing, ease pain and guide a return to movement precision. Dr. Kellogg is a doctoral member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine; this evidence-based interdisciplinary approach aligns pillars of nutrition, restorative sleep, stress management, exercise and lifestyle management principles, all of which are essential infrastructure for the body to respond in a meaningful way to physical therapy intervention. Shift Physical Therapy was designed from the ground up to support the therapeutic relationship of therapist and client, and through that alliance, empower ownership of outcomes, healing and optimal movement health across the lifespan.
